Derek Moree is a Seattle based producer, engineer, mixer, and musician. He started as an assistant engineer at Snowghost Studios in Whitefish Montana where he worked on records by Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus and Bjork producers Matmos. After moving to Seattle in 2007, he worked at Robert Lang Studios and Orbit Audio and assisted producer Casey Bates on records by Fall Of Troy and Fear Before The March Of Flames. Between 2008 and 2012, he was a house engineer at Red Room Studios and worked with producers Matt Bayles and Chris Common on records by Minus The Bear, The Sword, and Pelican. From 2012 to 2020 he worked extensively out of Studio Litho, while also operating The Boiler Room, where he has helmed records for Seattle artists like Ten Miles Wide, Witch Ripper, and Chrome Lakes. He currently works out of his personal mix room in Seattle.
